For younger Black women, dealing with the harsh realities of racism and sexism while “adulting” can be challenging. But we have always been a people to seek advice from mature folks with more wisdom. Here's some grown woman advice for our younger sistas.

Take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way. Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone!

Save your money, stay out of debt, don’t get an expensive car, and pay your credit card in full every month. If you must spend money, spend it on experiences, not things – like traveling! And travel alone if you have to.

By far the most common advice experienced Black women have to give to our younger sistas is don’t build your life around a man! Cultivate yourself FIRST and worry about attracting a mate as a secondary aspect of living your best life.
