Black people have always been able to make do or even exceed with less and the fashion arena is no different. There’s no need to break the bank when building a wardrobe even when prices keep going up.

#1: The Future is Now

Timeless pieces like classic jeans or jackets look stylish and save money. They won't go out of style soon and can save you money instead of constantly upgrading pieces.

#2 Invest In Basics

Spending good money on wardrobe basics like white undershirts, shoes, outerwear, etc. is a good use of a budget. These are the types of pieces you’ll likely wear the majority of the time so invest in good quality material.

#3: Time Matters

If a trendy item is a must have, then be smart about when to purchase it. Wait until an item you really want goes on sale. Shopping at the end of a season can bring great sales. Or buy items for another season now like waiting to get summer shorts when the temperature drops and retailers drop prices too.

#4: Discounts

Use coupons and discounts to save. Most of these are online today through store emails. A lot of stores offer student or military discounts that can be taken advantage of also.
